![]() ![]() ![]() In the last fifteen years or so, the faith I had in the inevitability of progressive change has been eroded away. Before we knew it, we could even get gay-married (And I did, much later, and I’m grateful for that.) Restore dignity to indigenous peoples and complete the project of decolonisation. I thought my generation was going to inherit a world ready for Utopia, and all we had to do was push it over the finish line. I came to consciousness in a wave of optimism and idealism that now seems naïve. We’ve fallen a long way from the 1990s, when I was a child and then a young teenager. It’s a strange thing, releasing a dystopian novel into a world that feels so dystopian already. We are very excited to present our first author feature!
